Meet your guide at the meeting point in front of la Cité du Vin

Departure for your first visit. On the way to your first visit your guide will give you an explanation about the Bordeaux wines characteristics and Classifications and the complexity of the different appellations on the Right Bank, as well as the History of Wine. Learn how soil and climate as well as the type of grapes can influence the flavour of the wine.

For your first visit, we will stop at a Classified Growth, with a impeccable architecture.The long history of this prestigious estate makes it one of the oldest in the area. After learning what makes a wine worthy of St Emilion Grand Cru status, you will have a look inside the recently restored vat house to learn about the secrets of their wines… before enjoying a comparative tasting of 2 wines: theirs and a neighbouring wine, to understand the differences in terroir.

The lunch (included, with a glass of wine) will take place in a cosy French restaurant in the heart of the village of St Emilion. Enjoy a moment of conviviality, in good company.

Travel through time now with a guided visit of Saint Emilion, a one of kind medieval village. You will learn all about this UNESCO World Heritage site and its famous monk who gave his name to the village, while admiring the most gorgeous landscapes of the region.

Our last stop of the day will take you to a second Classified Growth, which enjoys some of the most breathtaking views on St Emilion vineyards. You will have the chance to visit a state-of-the-art facility as well as a second traditional chateau, to compare the evolution of wine-making techniques over the past century. Finally, you will taste 3 of their wines, that will be able to enjoy on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the vineyards. No better way to end a tour!
